Thank you for your reply. Yes i did install from the cd, and followed step by step from the manual that comes in the cd. The only difference that the pdf and what i did is that i am missing the PSP XLink mode property in drivers part. I have also tried downloading their drivers from the website. EDIT: My planex wireless utility will not open too, even when in admin mode, w/e compatibility etc. EDIT2: I have tried reinstalling again. This time, the icon for the planex connection didn't appear in networks and sharing. EDIT3: I am using a 2nd generation macbook pro. on boot camp.
Did you install the driver that came on the CD with the Planex? The actual set-up process is the same on Windows 7 as Vista (to which there is a pdf guide on the Driver CD) as I've installed it to both a media center p/c and a laptop both running the windows 7 Beta.
You could try this site, it might help:

I need help with Xlink Kai on Windows 7.
Everything works except my Planex GW-USmini2n drivers.
I have followed every step on the manual, guides on the forums, and my own gut feeling and the only problem is that the driver does not have the PSP Xlink Mode Property, so i cannot enable it.
when i switch on Xlink Kai (the ui), it clearly says network is reachable, and that PSP has been configured correctly. However, i could not see anyone in guild halls.
I believe this to be a Windows 7 auto install network drivers problem. If so, can anybody tell me how to bypass this?
or even better, could someone post a windows 7 guide?
tyvm in advanced.
