I have the latest release of Lion and Kai runs fine for me, do you get any errors in the console log. To find out open /Applications/Utilities/Console.app and just watch the log for any errors from the Kai engine.

Sorry about the very late reply, I changed the network adapter to 1 and the GUI won't load, so I changed it to 0 and now it won't find my console, leave it ono auto detect and get a kernel panic.

After further testing, I suspect this might have something to do with changes to Lion's firewall/network setup. Please try the following:
Edit (may need root):
"/Applications/kaiengine.app/Contents/Resources/kaiUserConfig.txt"
set "kaiAdapter=en1"
(or en0 depending on if you are Wired and what time of Mac you are using).
Please post back with your results.

I had the same problem on OS X 10.7.3 (17" Macbook Pro Circa 2009). If you try it a couple of times it should work without a panic but this is obviously not how we want it running. We're investigating.
