I connected my internet like that: Router--->PC and Xbox360. My PC found my Xbox360 but the Xlink Kai didn't. My "Network Reachable" Status is on "Yes" , but "No consoles have been detected yet!" is written.
Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a router? Yes
Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? Unsure
Did you forward port 30000 to the static IP? Not 100% sure, but I think so.
Did you click the globe after forwarding to see if your network goes
reachable? Yes, my network is reachable.
What console are you using? Xbox360
Is your console being detected? No , "No Consoles have been detected".
Brief description of your network setup:Router--->PC and Xbox360.
Model numbers of the router, and modem? Linksys Router
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? Firewall is currently disabled.
Operating System? Windows7
Problem description? I connected my internet like that: Router--->PC and Xbox360. My PC found my Xbox360 but the Xlink Kai didn't. My "Network Reachable" Status is on "Yes" , but "No consoles have been detected yet!" is written.
And when I enter the "Kai engine" it's opening me the Google-Chrome in this address :
http://localhost:34522/
But this address in unavailable.

I saw this problem early this morning (around 1-3am) as well. It was probably down for some maintenance or something was wrong.
I JUST logged into Kai before typing this and it's A-Okay now. Trying running Kai and see.
P.S. I too use Google Chrome. And my PSP isn't detected as well any more but I have my own thread for that. |

I just bought a new XBOX 360, manuf date 2009-11-07.
It looks like Microsoft's hardware manuf. has a new MAC ID for the latest batch of NICs.
My MAC address starts with: 00:25:AE
"Kai filters out devices that do not have MAC addresses with the 2 prefixes of 00:50:F2 and 00:0D:3A."
Gamecraft>> Go to Network Settings and find the advanced tab. Set an alternate mac address to something like 0050f2010101. Your XBOX is likely very new and being filtered by Kai.
Moderator>> Please raise a bug and get 00:25:AE added to the filter for XBOX 360 MACs.
Took about a hour of tinkering to get Kai up and running, so far it's a neat little app. Keep up the good work team xlink.
Thanks,

It is possible but not recomended due to packet loss through wifi. Please check the "quickstart guide" point 3. "Setup your Network / Firewall" on the kai main page under help on how to setup your console via wifi. |
