Hi. Im trying to open port in my Thomson Speedtouch 585 router, but its no good. In my router settings i had xlink kai profile (?) to open 30000 port. I did it using many guides, and still doesnt work, 'Network reachable -not yet'. Could you help me guys, i really dont how to fix this problem. And one more thing, port should be open on my computer IP, or what?

You are forwarding the port to your PC never to your console when you port forward so yes to have to open ports to your computer IP. If you tried many guides as you said i recommend you use a program to port forward your ports.-->

a video guide on how to do it-->

and a tool to test if the port is open-->

a quick reminder you need to forward port 30000 UDP.

Your router supports Upnp have you activated it ? If you go to toolbox/game and application sharing/Upnp. Set a static Ip for the computer you are using--> http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm
heres a guide for port forwarding your router--> http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Thomson-Alcatel/SpeedTouch585/Xlink_Kai.htm

Upnp actavated, i followed this guide earlier to forward port, and still the same effect. I used to Simple Port Forwarding to set static ip, so the reason is not here, i think. I have windows 8, maybe there is a problem? This is consumer preview, but honestly i dont think so, is there any difference between windows 7 and 8. And thanks for your help, apprecieate it man. Maybe router is broken, i have no idea.

Have you checked the firewall settings of the speedtouch i think you have to make an exception so that the firewall lets the program (kai) pass. Just to test it turn your routers internal firewall off and run kai and check if your network is reachable.

Have you tried a firmware update maybe this will fix the problem. Does the MAC filtering prevent you from port forwarding have youch checked it ?
