Hey guys, ive read about EVERYTHING i could about using the wifimax wih psp for the xlink. I successfully had my computer detect my psp in (ad hoc) 4 MHF,but the only problem is that when i run xlink it says (in the network reachable diag.) it says "not yet" .

my connection set-up is as follows->
DSL modem hooked up to computer->
WIFIMAX w/xlink enabled connected to internet through my DSL internet->
(each as their own ips)
and then my psp connects to the wifi dongle in ad hoc mode.

is their anything im doin wrong? Xlink isnt even recognising my psp to connect to it.. but my comp does =/

if someone could help me out i would realy appreciate it.
i also tried to port forward, but nothing happened =/
if anyone has suggestions pls feel free to help. thanks again guys.
P.S. Do i need to start a quest in MHF to have my xlink detect my psp??
cause what i do is i conncet to the (online) mode of the gathering hall for MHF, then once im in i check to see if it sees my psp. but do i have to press a button like "L" for example or start a quest for the xlink to detect my psp? please help all if u can. thanks

You will need to forward UDP 30000 to your computer's IP on your Local Area Network.

your computer will always be able to detect yor psp since adhoc- wifi does not need permiscuous(if thats how u spell it =)) mode to work.
since the new driver is out and ppl have already made sure Datel WifiMax to work. you should
recheck your connection, try step by step.. patience. 3~5 mins for the connection to fully established.
cheers

edit:you have to create/join arena to establish KAI -> PSP

update the driver here http://dl.qj.net/click.php?pid=122&fid=7928

Wifimax users
-----------------

1) Start-->Control Panel --> Remove program-->Uninstall old driver,PSP WIFIMAX
2) unplug wifimax from usb port
3) install the new driver 8xxxg+b USB driver from the link (do not have wifimax cd in the cd rom , because it might install the old driver again)
4) plug in wifimax
5) it will looks for driver make sure it is getting the g+b USB driver
6) open MHF and go to online hall (channel 1 better)
7) put ZDLAN into adhoc mode
Cool refresh the list and double click the PSP detected
9) go to advanced settings--> tick the (enabled for xlink kai option)
10) start kai config
11) tick detect dangerous NIC
12) restart kai config and select the ZD as NIC,set accept connection from any IP
13) start Kai
14) click the globe first, then click magnifier
15) u should be able to see "network reachable"
16) click the folder option -->
17) if "Succeeded" you will get this msg " PSP successfully" configured"
else repeat step 1 - 17. check which u miss out
1Cool if Succeeded proceed with the globe
19) enter MHF
20) note that u wont be able to see other players for a while
(probably due to congestion at night)
21) wait and wait,
22) you can try enter MHP (japanese versioN) there are more users there u might probably scan up some. but u cant join the quest with them. this is just to test out the connection.
23) if nothing goes wrong u might detect some already in MHF by now

I got xlink Kai to recognize my PSP through these steps... but I have a few doubts:

- If I change to another game... to I have to change ZDLAN adhoc configuration??
- In ZDLAN... how do I release the current network settings?? Is there a way to just clear it?

Cause all I see about connecting Kai with wifi max , its with MHF... what about other games??

Thanks for the help.

thanks, shinchan^^

very good steps by steps.
Just that I kept repeated twice 1-17 and same results for me.
my kais says " PSP succefully configured"
BUT Network "Unreachable" and closes in 2 min. tells me to check port forwarding

I believe many has same problem as me Sad

I am using a Netgear router
Windows 2000 and wifimax

I did the port forwarding: 30000 up and down
I entered my IP here same as the IP addy i got from RUN>cmd>ipconfig

Wifimax, I installed the lastest 8xxxg+b USB driver
followed everything there and my psp was connected.
everything checked.

My Kai config is ok for all the checking.
EVERYTHING, seems ok till you are unreachable. -.-''

Anyone has same problem as me but got it fixed? pls , pls, pls advise.
My greatest thanks in advance for any hlep.
