Xlink Kai Cards

"Kai Cards" are the XLink version of the Xbox Live gamer cards, but for Xlink Kai. The cards come in two versions, Recent Games and Games Owned

Recent Games Cards
These work almost exactly like Xbox Live cards, they show a bit of information about you, and the games you have played recently. For now they show your age range, Country, and upload speed and the last 10 games you have played. The card will also show when you are online, and what game you are playing.

To use this kind of card you need to update your xlink kai profile (on the teamxlink.co.uk site) so that your country etc. can be shown. You also need to be using the XLink Kai 7.4 BETA, and use the KaiCard skin. (To apply the skin type "/skin" in the chat and choose "KaiCard")

Once you apply the skin your card will be available at: http://kaicard.teamxlink.co.uk/yourXtag.png

Games Owned Cards
These cards, like the recent games cards, show some basic information about you, but instead of showing your recently played games these show what games you own. Note: You need to edit your Xlink Kai profile to say what games you own!

To use this kind of card you need to:
- Login to kaicard.teamxlink.co.uk, and goto the Kai Cards page, choose Owned Games
- Pick a style from examples shown, and click generate
- Wait for the image to be created. (This shouldn't take more than thirty seconds)
- You will be given a direct link to the image.
- Use your card wherever you want!

New Features:
- All cards are regenerated daily, and the games shown are shuffled.
- If you change what games you own, the card will auto-update within a day

Note: To change what games/information show up on your card, edit your Xlink profile on the main site.

Please Note:
- Recent Game card are updated every 5 minutes, so it may take up to 5 minutes for your card to activate after you apply the skin.
- Owned games cards are updated daily, so you don't need to re-generate your card if you update your XLink profile, it will happen automatically.

I've once again rewritten everything, it seems like that's all I do with my projects... Anyway, here's whats new.

- Logging in is now required, though no registration is necessary. Just login with your kai username and password.
- Card generation is now twice as fast (Re-worked code & server upgrades)
- The cards are now automatically hosted by SgtLegend.com (Thanks again!), and you will be given the link to your card after it is generated.
- All games supported by Kai are now available from all supported consoles: Microsoft XBox, Microsoft XBox 360, Sony Playstation 2, Sony Playstation 3, Nintendo Gamecube, and Sony PSP

Again, everything has been rewritten, and I've added some new features.

Added:
- The list of games you own is updated daily (from your kai profile)
- Kai Cards are automatically re-generated daily. When they update, the games are shuffled on your card, allowing all of them to be seen over time.
- Automatically hosted (you need to use the URL provided to take advantage of the daily updates)

Removed:
- The flash based cards have been removed because they were a pain to support, and generally looked like crap.

you don't sad that the /skins command only work on web ui interfaces....

The skin command has only ever worked in the webUI since the GUI is hard coded for one theme only

The kaicard site looks brilliant. You might want to have the welcome page change once a user has logged in.

Nice feature, I just was told about it today. I have a question though. How do you make it so the image of the card is clickable in your signature? I notice for most other people's I can click on the image to go to their game list, but mine just stays as an unclickable image in my signature.

That was a bit tricky to do yourself... which is now fixed Very Happy

For the past week when ever I login I get

The same thing happens to other people I play with.

It's not a problem for me right now since the kai card auto update once a day or whenever but it prevents new people from making one, or people from changing their card style etc.

The owned games card hasn't being working for about a day now, but the link to the profile does as seen in my sig.
If you log into the site and pick card type -> Owned games non of them show up on the list.

The server that hosts the Kai Cards has been suspended so no signatures will be working. Crunch give me a yell if you need a place to get them back online for the minute
