Hi,
I have downloaded and installed this on Windows XP from this site but I'm struggling trying to start up XLinkKai. As I said, I've downloaded and Installed the application but every time I start it up, an error message appears saying:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel."
Here is the error log:
| Quote: |
18:48:11: Can't read value of 'HKCR\http\shell\open\DDEExec' (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified.)
18:48:19: Failed to open URL "http://127.0.0.1:34522/" in default browser. (error 1155: no application is associated with the specified file for this operation.) |
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance. |

I have, that was my second attempt. I thought I might have installed it wrong, that's why I'm asking you guys. I simply downloaded the file and double-clicked it to activate the windows installer. The same problem occurs every time I try to start it up. Perhaps I am missing some files that are need before the program will start-up? |

No luck, the error window appears as soon as I click the 'start kai' icon. There are actually 2 error windows; the first is the original sentence that I put in inverted commas, then once I click OK a second window appears saying:
| Quote: |
| Failed to open URL "http://127.0.0.1:34522/" in default browser. (error 1155: no application is associated with the specified file for this operation.) |
..and in that error window there is the option of clicking 'Details' to see more information on the error. Those details I quoted in the OP.
Where should I go from here?
Thanks for the help so far and sorry if I sound like a bit of a newbie, it's probably because I am - I just need more detail in the answer. |
