Okay, I enabled the PAT but now when I start it, XLINK KAI gets the "has encountered a problem and must be shut down" message.

Try reinstalling kai then setting up everything w/ the proper settings ...

i'm on XP and same for me...others have said putting it in win2000 compat mode workin for them, it didn't for me though.

Enable PAT should be ticked and
Accept Any IP instead of local ip...see if that works

I just put my Xlink together today and used bleach3 as my testing subject. It all set up successfully while loading the "lobby". I did not try connecting to anyone tho.
