using a wire is less complicated than using wireless. i personally never used wireless but many of my friends and family have had problems with their wireless routers and had to play around with the settings in order to get it to work. |

WOW! So you do exists.... I'm running setup "G" see this example:
http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=52643&page=2&highlight=xlink
I did everything right.... Looked over tons of pages and actually spent over 15hrs in the last 2 weeks trying to fix it. Xbox sees the internet, just not any games to join...
Did you guys have the same problem? How did you fix it?
BTW - Some people actually need wireless. Running cables through 2 floors doesn't sit well with the landlord or mom! - LOL |

I did have a similar problem - turned out to be the Firewall - it seems to be the main problem that people have.
I'd sorted out the firewall on the router, and in Sygate Pro had granted Kai full access. But I could only see/play games if I change Sygate to Allow All. I still haven't found another way round this, but at least Kai works now
And yes, I needed a wireless link too 'cos the PC is on another floor and way too far away for me to be bothered to lay down cabling. |

2nd floor: wireless modem/router

I want to buy the wireless network adapter for the xbox360, but will it work with Xlink Kai ? |

Yes, it can be done.. just got one for X-Mas and just called tech support and the helped me all the way through it.. took only 10 minutes with tech support.. I'm also connecting one xbox wireless and 2 xbox hardwired.. but they all get online and play just like it was hardwired.... I love it.. never missed a bit...
Just let me know if you need help.. I'm using a Linksys Wireless router and a Linksys Wireless G-Game adaptor... "G" hate to say it but it works flawlessly....
Ferdnand see you online.... |

I am successfully running a different setup. I have a linksys wireless game adapter hooked into a network hub (a D-Link router I have dumbed down) which my PC and my xbox are also hooked into. The linksys is the only link to a wireless DSL router. It works just fine. Good Luck! |
