Modded box.
When I start FC, it forces me to watch the long trailer at the beginning everytime I start the game. Why in the crap does it do this? Anyone have a clue?
Also, when playing on Kai, when someone becomes predator, instead of hearing the voice yell 'predator!', I get a loud static/screeching noise EVERY TIME.
I've tried playing from disc and also loaded on hard drive, same thing, also have tried multiple copies. Single player plays fine.
Any suggestions? |

its called caching... its copying bunch of sound files to your x/y/z drive... |

The long movie "covers" for the cashing, so you wouldn't wait with a blank screen they put a video to "amuse" you, what you can do is either download a blank video file [if I remember right it's BINK video, *.bik] and you replace the blank with the long one, or you just take the Crytek video in the same directory, copy it and change the name for the big one... |

Have heard somewhere that your xbox clock needs to be right to stop this happening over and over again.

Clear your x folder, restart your box and let far cry load. It should work properly after that. |

yes and that too.. cause if im not wrong the xbox automatically clears cache after 24hours? so if you clock is messed up or not set.. It will cache everytime you start the game. |

I did this only one time and the static sound never came back. |

Yip, if you set the date/time in your settings and then load Far Cry the movie will have to play once and then never again, unless you unplug your xbox of course, cause then your time settings will be gone. |

Yeah, I thought that too. It was fine for ages then it started happening again and the clock thing doesn't work...  |

As soon as the "Press Start" screen pops up, i push B, then A and I don't have to watch the video.
Is this actually skipping the video, or have I just been telling myself this. |
