Kai changes my IP address..

Ok.. I load up XBMC, then load up Kia on the PC..

Everything works great on xbox end..
I'm able to log onto Kia, go thru friends list, join a game,etc.. Works great..

But if I need to restart my xbox, AKA whenever I wish to change a game, my xbox will have a new IP...

I have to shut down Kia on the PC, then I reboot my Xbox, and all is well.. I then have to go back to the PC, AFTER the xbox is reset, then turn KIA back on...

I've tried to assign my Xbox a static IP, and KIA will work with no need to reset the KIA engine on the PC, but alot of my other internet related funtions don't work..

The Weather and KIA, are the only things that work on the Xbox, if I assign it a staic IP...

I love the script function on XBMC, but I can't use any of the script addons while I have KIA running..

Help.. what do I need to setup.. I'm at my wits end here... I'm sure it is a simple little thing, but I dunno where to look...

sidenote: no other internet related features work when I have my ip set to static.. No shoutcast streams, no CNN, etc...
Only the Weather Channel plugin, and KiaXlink work, when the ip is set to static...

Setup: Xbox 1.6, softmod SID4, 120gig.. Uleash and XBMC CLEAN Jan.10,2006 version

After all this time I figured out my problem.. Even tho I was using XBMC to connect and play, etc.. It was still just an APP.. So I also had to change my UNLEASH to a staic IP...

Now all works perfect.. Smile

Now I'm just trying to get rid of Unleash, and go full blown XBMC, but am having a few issues with the graphix.. I'm tinkering with it tho..

oops. I see I've been spelling it wrong.. lol..

We have a Kia car dealership across the street.. I guess it was stuck in my head from that.. :/

Anyhow.. I've got my 360 on day 1, but I've not touched it since I've modded my Xbox.. XBMC+KAI offer so much more than I would have every thought to need on a console.. My 360 is just gonna collect dust, until some worthy games come out on it..

I found out today, that if Kai is running and you have an xbox using Kai, and a 360 on LIVE, and both are hooked to the same router, then you must also make your x360 a static address to connect to LIVE and/or Kai..
