My guess is that it probably won't need tunneling.. I think we've seen the last of the non-Internet-aware consoles.

anyone know the exact release of Wii?

I plan on getting it on release, but if its soon im pretty sure it will be all pre-orderd

Best guess right now is October/November..I haven't found any stores taking preorders yet.

idk but are they doing worldwide launch, same as Microsoft/Sony?

Wii was ready long time ago, and final dev kit's been out for while.

so i'm thinking maybe in next 2-3 months it may hit Japan stores and hopefully get to US before PS3 launch.

I thought there was talk about Microsoft and Nintendo working togeather to release their top products to the market around the same time as the PS3...thats way they might stand a chance against the Sony Console Beastie!!! Very Happy

Gears of War will likely be released for 360 right around the time that the PS3 comes out.

There was talk about Nintendo and Microsoft that they could release their products at the same time to send the PS3 into a deeper hole they dug with the high price point
Nintendo and Microsoft may stand a chance? DS sales are literally killing PSP, 360 sales are strong and the price of the PS3 is $599 & $699. Sony just shot themselves in the foot with this one IMO. And putting a tilt sensor in the controler?! (omg that was just about the lamest thing ever: look we have tilt sensor too and it doesnt use a sensor bar. pay atention to us! j/k lol)
Nintendo and Microsoft are in the best position. Wii will have the lowest price, cool games, 360 will probably lower its price $100 when the Ps3 comes out. That will be the nail in the coffin for Sony IMO. Its possible for sony to meet the projected sales number but i dont believe they will come a hair short of 2 mill. Then later there will be a mass shortage.
The ps3 has cooler games than the 360 (besided GoW and Halo 3). I think the Wii will be more sucessfull than the GCN. Im excited the mst about the Virtual Console.

Why bother? They're already $200 cheaper. I think it's more likely that they'll throw together a Gears of War special edition bundle like they did for Halo.

Let's be honest here. Sony has delayed the PS3 due to Blu-ray complications, etc... hmmm... me thinks not. I believe they are simply milking every last ounce of juice then can from the ps2 line. I kind of wish M$ had done the same. Meanwhile Nintendo's gamecube did poorly; I'm sure they are happy to bury it as soon as possible. For the record and as a Zelda fan, I love the GC... but I can admit it... the thing is 5 years behind competition.

Couldnt have said it better. My Gamecube has been burried after i finished RE4 lol. I play GBA games and SSBM on it ocationally.
Cant wait for Zelda TP Wii. If i had the cash i would buy most of the launch titles if not all of them and several VC games.
