BlackBolt XBMC Skin

Been waiting for this skin for awhile now. Finally got the time to sit down and have play with it.

First impressions....Nice, very nice.

Here is the Kai blade, but with my XBL Gametag, as you can see, i have signed into kai, and what do you know, urine, has just signed in! Cool

On to the meat and potatoes of the skin:
Games, baby! see the swirly background? hehe nice visuals from my music playing

Media, IMO, looks a lot better then the 360 dash, here i can VIEW my videos off my Hdd, listen to some music, or check out the latest movie trailers, or flick through some pics.

Music, looking very funky and well laid out, Yahhhh...The B Boys!

Looks shit hot, all those who are still using Evox or older dash boards, shame on you!
Things to note:
This is not the new XBMC 2.0, this was the 666 t3ch build and this was a beta version on blackbolts skin. sure there are a few bugs etc, i havent posted all the pics i took, later perhaps.

But bravo to the whole blackbolt team, you guys done an amazing job.

get any T3CH build of XBMC after june6th .. their was a new build yesterday with a new version of the skin but its got some serious bugs in it .. it has been said by a memeber of the team that yesterdays version of the skin should not have been sent out ..

this skin also has custom wallpapers , new themes , and in the new versions you can replace the gamercard with the weather or system info .. great skin that will just keep getting better :]

Yeah i read about that, well the skin is amazing, if we can get Xlink::one intergrated with it...man, that would sweet. how about some mimesis downloads too..hehe Razz

actually right after posting that i went over to the XS forums and theirs a new version of the skin that fixes a bunch of the problems .. im still just going to wait for a bit as the freezing on the system blade bug seems to still be there ..

mimesis might be coming, along with downloadable themes ..

Aye, I'm using this at the moment too Smile

. Is delicious, I love it. I also don't have to be envious of all my friends with their fancy dashboard (but still with the better console Razz

). In fact, this is better as it allows you to view video and audio easier.

Unless you want to build everything yourself, you definitely want to wait for the next build of XBMC. The 06/11/06 one is pretty much unusable as people have stated. There's a new build of the skin out, but so far there's no XBMC build that has it included in the package.

i wasn't too impressed with the look, maybe cos i already have the X360 dash at full resolution, so this looks ghay and amount of time i crashed it. i guess i better wait for full version and forget these beta headache. Laughing

the 666 version hasen't crashed on me once .. it has bugs and stuff doesn't work but its never crashed .. the new one crashs as soon as u go to the system menu .. meh ..

Same here, have had no probs with 666 build.

I got the 666 build and I think its great. I was tired of the default skin. As I never could find any skins that worked with the current version of XBMC, so this was a nice change.

Ive not had any problems yet. I do think there seems to be some options not visable while using the BlackBolt skin, that are visable with the default skin.

Good to see that I didnt update to the 6-11-06 version.

I would make it my default dash but I dont know how. I didnt softmod it myself. I got Evo as my dash.
