Hello all! Hopefully I will receive some new direction on this. I have a softmodded XBOX (ltools) running UnleashX/XBMC. I have been using the linksys router dd-wrt SP1 firmware and running solely from xbmc. All was wonderful.
Then halfway into Serious Sam 2, the game lost connection. Router still works fine. I have since reflashed router with half dozen newer alpha and beta releases from dd-wrt. I have hard reset router, set both router and xbmc to defaults and reassigned all static IPs accordingly.
Same situation...
I open xbmc, within seconds, I get the pop-up showing which xlkink server I'm attatched to. All games and arenas list fine. My friend also verified that his PC running Xlink shows me trying to attatch. I can chat and all. Once I select "PLAY" the xbox reboots to game (I have tried Halo, midnight club3, serious Sam, etc.)
Here's the problem: When the xbox reboots, nothing listed under system link.
Again. This occurred during a game. I am very saavy with all the tutorials. I have scoured the net and find many newbies missing very simple things.
I have further troubleshot to verify If I use a PC as the Xlink engine, and not bother using the router's enhanced features, all is well. So I know hardware-wise all is well. And as far as I can tell, all settings are koscher.
Please, if anyone has a direction for me, I'd love the advice.
you can email to support@puroaustin.com thx! |

I have been told by alot of people that the hacked firmware released for that router is generally pretty doesn't work pretty well/unstable. I would just stick to the engine running on the computer |
