Hey, everyone. This topic is a reinforcement of an e-mail I sent to the XLink Kai staff. I would ask for Steel Lancer Arena International, Resident Evil Outbreak 1 & 2 all for the PS2 to be added to the XLink Kai Arena listing.

I've already sent out the e-mail to the XLink Kai staff, but I wanted a little feedback from the community also. If any of you are interested in playing either three of these games on here, please post a comment in here. The real reason for this suddeness is that Konami has announced that they will be closing down the servers for SLAI on October 1st of this year. So, SLAI being a good game and all; myself and many of the other people who play it online would like to see it keep going.

Well, SLAI doesn't have LAN capabilites. The Japanese version of Resident Evil Outbreak has LAN but I'm not too sure about the U.S or European versions.

The bottom line. If a game doesn't have lan capability then you can't play it over kai.

darn >.< Why did Konami have to go with the PS2 instead of the Xbox, they would have made more money and have done a better job online. Oh well, thanks for the info.

Remember, for many (if not all) PS2 LAN enabled games you need a PS2 LAN cable not an ethernet cable. The PS2 LAN cable can be found on ebay. What about the PAL version of REO? I believe it featured LAN play as a way to compensate for not having online play.

^^^Do your research:
http://cgi.ebay.com/BNIB-PS2-I-Link-cable-Sony-Playstation-2-cable-link-GT3_W0QQitemZ260093066370QQihZ016QQcategoryZ21187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It's uber rare and very few PS2 games actually made use of it. GT3 and some of the Armored Core games used it. More Japanese games used it than US games.
