Halo Players!

Hey everyone Wink

I'll be on Kai tonight from as soon as it's out, and I'm looking for more Halo players. We'll probably be in the Halo PAL arena all night (we're planning on being there all night Cool

) are there any UK PAL Halo players here?

I'm sure we'll find plenty just by sitting in the Halo arena, but I just wanna see if there's many Halo payers at the forum Razz

um ill be on tomorrow but im NTSC darn! im going to the movies tonight, and wont get home till like 12 and have an interview tomorrow at 11 (gmt +6 central standard time) so i will get on probably about 1pm tomorrow!

I have NTSC Halo too. I'll be playing UK PAL tonight, so maybe we could play another time. The ping will be huge, but you can host if you like Smile

I have no idea when I'll be on Confused

With a modded XBox yeah Smile

The only problem is that the lowest pings are usually 120, which might not be bad for some games, but it's really high for Halo.

When I join UK PAL games, I usually don't join games with over 80 ping, but I have to make my limit 150ms on NTSC Shocked

It's worth it though, NTSC Halo is lots more fun to play than UK PAL in my opinion Smile

... so how is it "more fun" im just curious, since ive never played PAL Question

Most of the differences are fairly subtle, but the main one is that NTSC is faster. The firing rate is a lot better to play, you can jump slightly higher, but you get damaged from drops a lot easier. Example of damage from falling: On PAL, if you go to the top of blue base @ Hang Em and jump right down to the floor and *don't* crouch, you'll not even lose any shield, whereas doing the same on NTSC will leave you with no shoield and 2 bars of health.

Some people prefer PAL, but a lot find NTSC more fun to play, like me Very Happy

The only downside being the huge pings Sad

Zynax, I dunno about looking up, never tried it Exclamation

PAL isn't really a problem with falling damage for me, but NTSC you have to perfect your timing on crouching so you don't make yourself an easy target Smile

@ Funk, are the SS Halo players all based in USA? If they are I'd be willing to try joining their host for a few games sometime Wink

I'll look out for SS guys in the Halo arena too Razz

Might be laggy, but worth a shot, could get some fun games Very Happy

I live in Holland and have got Halo NTSC too, just no PAL, so I'm stuck with high pings too Sad

I should be getting Halo PAL sometimes now, its not that expensive anymore :p
