assuming all of the XBMC files are on your Xbox harddrive...the file that launches it is named default.xbe(similar to an exe on a computer). You can manually launch it form that file if you like, though almost all the dashboards auto look for files named that,so it should show XBMC as a app that you just have to click on an icon for it to run. If you want to run it as a dashboard, you have to replace the file that your dashboard launches off of(another .xbe file, but not every xbox launches the same file due to different softmods),then put a shortcut in its place(use Team UIX's Shortcut maker here http://hodkins.net/1up/apps/09.17.05.Xbe.Shortcut.Maker.1.0.rar) and then lead it to your default.xbe your XBMC uses. Then you can run it as your dash. |

You have to know what file your XBMC boots from. It will be a .xbe file, located in the folder/place where you have XBMC. That is the file you want it to lead to for the shortcut. The file you want to replace it with the shortcut is the file that your main dashboard uses now. Look for where your dash you boot from is, and look for a .xbe file.. Replace that .xbe file on your main dash with that shortcut you made(make sure the shortcut has the same name). |
