At First, this game are separate on lobby, waiting-room and joined-room.

When we joined the waiting room and the host is being started, it will display a loading screen, which is about "Prepare to join" something like that. At this moment the Host PSP will generate a SSID such as PSP_AULJM05238_L_XXXXXXXX which XXXXXXXX is different for each PSP.

At normally, when we link-play in a actual area, the client will retrieve HOST's SSID automatically. But if we play it via xlink, KAI do not know how to retrieve HOST SSID to Client PSP, so that it will cause dis-connection.

How to set your SSID to the hosts SSID.

P.S It seems not just Gundam Seed Portable have this problem, e.g Initial D also.

There is not nessesary to use CM (CheatMaster) to freeze the game for changing SSID. (Better not to dicuss HomeBrew in here Mad )

Before the host start the game, all players(Host and Client) type the SSID PSP_AULJM05238_L_XXXXXXXX on the blank. All players(Host and Client) click the apply button immediately after the HOST started!

It is much better than use CM, and it is more easier to be success.

P.S Moderator, please help to paste the above to the guide. Thankyou.

Hi Mortj109, not sure about which SSID should be input at the last step.

After pressing "More Settings" -> "Change", all the grey blanks become changeable. From your screenshot, it should has a SSID already input by default, right? Is that the ID of my own PSP? I should input the one of the opposite side? If that is the case, how can I know what is it? Ask him while message?

Sorry I can't get you. Your guide already help me a lot! Really wish to play this game Twisted Evil Thanks!

After the host starts, just go to your wlan utility and click refresh you'll get the new ssid (both host and client), just double click the ssid to connect it. You could write that ssid down and then you could use more settings and paste the ssid there after the host starts instead of having to refresh again.
Hope this helps

I checked and this game supports adhoc and needs to use the same method as gundam seed does. You need to follow the tut above to set ur SSID to the hosts in order to get it to play. I made an arena for Initial D Street Stage Cool

ok im still a bit confused on how this works..

edit: i just tried with a person to join and host a game but every time one of us starts we both get kicked back out to the vs lobby. The only way i could see him when he was hosting was when my ssid was: PSP_AULJM05238_L_V. if i try to change it to anything else i seem to just lose the connection. I tried doing the refresh after joining a hosted game..but my ssid stays the same even after i refresh. Any help? thanks in advance

Does this require certain wireless device? Or does it support all the ones supported by Xlink?

Thanks,
Shiro.

I tried doing this for YGO TF2 but it only generates the new SSID when the game starts (versus screen) giving you a matter of seconds to enter the new SSID.

Even if it does work (havent tried it) its extremely tedious. Is there no other way?

BTW the client doesnt see the new SSID even after refreshing the WLAN utility (PSP network disappears completely while the game is starting) so the only way is for the host to type it to the client.

Just replace the Zwlan Window by your utility's (should be the Planex's or the Windows) ones.

By the way, why did you quote someone else?
