updating XBMC - how to???

I have an old old version of XBMC and I want to update it - I have downloaded a new 2007 version and am using flash fxp to connect to the xbox... but how do I go about replacing the old files with the new? I dont want to screw it all up!!

Just over write the old files with the new ones.

no no no .. don't do that .. you have to add it as a new folder .. overwriting older versions can/will cause all kinds of problems ..

so if I add it in a new folder, do I then delete the old one?

rename the folder to what the original was named before you reboot .. its not gonna autodetect it ..
