Hi there,
When I host halo2 games voice works fine in the pregame lobby. Everyone can hear everyone. As soon as I start a game only I (the host) can talk to my team and hear my team. Neither the other teams can communicate nor can the members of my team hear each other.
Now I know there are some similar problem reports in this forum but they are at least a year old.
Question: Has anybody out there similary troubles? What could be wrong with my setup?
Setup: Cable modem ( ethernet => ) Linux PC ( ethernet => ) Mini Switch ( ethernet => ) Xbox. The EngineBind config variable is set to port 6666 and I have opened UDP port 6666 on the linux firewall. |

Its a bug in halo 2.
THe problem is fixed in Xlink One. |

The funny thing is, when a friend of mine hosts we do not have this problem.
Anyway, how can I get a "Registration Code" for xlink one? |

Its a bug in halo 2.
THe problem is fixed in Xlink One.
If it is a bug in halo2 how can it be fixt in X1? |

My bad i worded it wrong its a glitch in the way kai routes data. It is fixed in Xlink ONe. |

Xbox headsets are cheap, though. They're only $15 (sometimes less) at EBGames. If anyone wants to try out chatting in a lobby, I love messing with my mic, so add me as a friend.
Back on topic, I never have team speak problems, but I do have problems talking to people if they aren't on my team. I have to stand right next to them to hear them, and then they die, and I get angry, and everyone dies, and they get angry, and we quit playing due to frustration. I want global chat or something similar to the lobby. |
