Help im a noob with xlink kai

Hi i found xlink and i thought this will be a blast to set up Laughing

and i set it up on computer i can log on on computer browse the areas then i thought but how am i going to play my xbox games on my computer Question

then i went on my xbox and in my apps and went on xbmc and went to the xlink and configuried it to my computer where it is installed with my ip and then my user and pass then i connected my xbox to my router belkin F5D6230-3 and the router is connected to my pc and i went to log on on my xbox which is chipped and all it says is the service is not connected attempt to reconnect? do i have to run it on computer and on the xbox or what as i said im a noob? please help me i have a chipped xbox with xenium ice in Peter

Dont use xbmc kai till you have XLink working on the pc UI and can play.

Maybe your issue is that your XBMC has a bug, you need to go to programs, xlinkkai, disable it, go to XBMC home, then enable XLINK...

But first you need to run your kai engine in your pc...

but what do you mean by run the engine on your pc how can i play the xbox games on my pc if they are on my xbox hard drive

follow these steps in this exact order ..

load halo2 on your xbox (or game of choice) , go to system link option ..

load kai on your PC.. click the little arrow on the edge of the window to open the chat window.. click the globe at the top of kai to enter arena mode , pick console / genre / game , and in the case of halo2 region .. pick a game from the left side of kai .. should show up on your tv .. play.

i have it working on pc now but how do i do it on xbmc

You could play games? Then it's time for XBMC now!

Which version of XBMC do you have? But I think it's the same in each version of XBMC. Go to the settings and enter you XTag and your password and enter the Engine-IP. (The IP where the engine's runnig.)

Then you can browse the arenas with XBMC.

what do you mean by engine and ip is it the ip of my computer?

XLink Kai is split into two parts:

The Engine - This is the core
The engine always starts when you open Kai on your computer. You neendn't do anything to get it running. The Engine is the core of XLink.
It sends your game data to the other players. It can run on a PC or on some routers.

Your PC must be connected to your Xbox in order to play with Kai. Kai must run on your PC:

The other part of XLink Kai is the User Interface. (UI) XBMC Kai is an UI for Kai as wel as Kai Evolution for PC is. The UI connects to the engine. You browse through the arenas with an UI.

After you've opened Kai on your PC go to your XBMC and connect to the Engine on your PC. First you must have configured your XBMC or Kai.
Go to the XLink-Kai settings in XBMC.
(Settings - > Programs -> XLink-Kai)
You must enter your XTag (username), your password and the engine IP-adress. (The IP of your PC with running Kai Engine).

yes .. also you have to load the kai config and switch the UI connections option to allow connections from anywhere ..

hi yes i have configed it on pc so it works on pc and xbox but when i try to get it to work on xbmc it say the service is not connect attempt to reconnect so i press yes then it comes up again

Download a newer version of XBMC.

This is known bug.

hi i have download a later version of xbmc the latest one and it still comes up with the server is not connected attempt to reconnect i press yes and it stiil comes up again

you have to set it up , it doesn't just work .. read the guide in the download section ..

i have configuried it with my user name my pass and my computers ip adress and enabled it it it still does not work

Once again DO NOT USE xbmc kai until you can play on kai without problems using the PC ui.

I currently am using a standard 4 port hub for my xbox... but a friend sed he is having problems setting up a wireless network to work with xlink... any ideas?
