i was wondering, since the wii has the feature to go online automatically, am i able to use it with xlink kai to play gamecube games

No, according to Nintendo the Wii LAN adapter doesn't work with Gamecube games at all.

Wii does not have a BBA to USB / WiFi mapping in GC emulation mode. So the answer is - no, unfortunately you cannot Sad .

i might be misunderstanding this, but it looks like you said it doesnt support the lan adapter in gamecube emulation. what about those wireless connected?

Well if it doesnt support the USB adapter in gamecube mode then it wont work at all. Wireless wont work spme people tested it with X1. But kai can register it but it shows up as a cube of coarse.
