That is a good sign to upgrade. I don't know of any connections that slow anymore. And I would not feel good about uploading to Satan all the time. |

Shame I cant host from work. 2 OC92's and a few Ds3 for backup/voice would make for some sick hosting speeds. My home connection is good though, I get 10/2 which is more than I need when I am working. |

you miss the main point, at penn state where competence is a value of the IT staff they have different caps for different ports, port 80 is 4/4 ftp is 15/15 and anything else is metered at 30/30
they also limit the speeds of limewire and torrent stuff its all to keep people from whoring up bandwidht on common things |

we dont have ports capped at anything, the reason i get 10/8 and not 35/10 is bc the 35/10 is another FO line, there r 3 going directly from college to Chicago.
They dont have anything capped, so its nice, but i cap my torrents at 300k/100k so i dont lag out anyone, or my kai for that matter  |

And that's on my crappy wireless connection that I can't host on. I think it's better than the DSL connection downstairs, go figure.
I'm just waiting for Verizon to start putting in FiOS around the RDU area. |
