Hi Guys,
I am trying to play monster hunter freedom 2 via kai.
I have a Fat PSP and a Slim PSP.
Kai can detect my FAT psp straight away but it doesnt detect my psp slim at all!!!
Has anyone experienced this problem?
I want to know if its the PSP problem or the WIreless Adapter (GW-US54Mini2G) problem or the Xlink Kai problem?
Hope to hear from you guys.
Thanks. |

Wheneve i try to go into the Monster Hunter Freedom 2 Arena, I also always get a kaiUI pop up box that says that "An invalid argument was encountered"
It just keeps reappearing after i keep pressing countless times of the OK button.
This only happens in the Monster Hunter's Arena. In other games there is no such problem.
Could it be my computer? Am i lacking some drivers to view the user interface of Kai properly.
Hope you can advice me. Thanks.
Am really hope that i can really use my psp slim to play on Kai soon.
Please advice. [/img] |

hi,
i've been experiencing the same problem as well, though i'm not really sure whether it is because i can see arena games and such (no real errors with xlink) but it just doesn't detect my PSP in the Diagnostics mode. also using a Linksys PCI 54G wireless adapter for the connection to the PSP, not sure if that is reported to give problems (not listed).
i'll be trying it out on my older psp, to see if the problem lies with the cards or just the PSP alone. hopefully i can get more insight into the problem. |

my MAC addy: 00:1C:26:XX:XX:XX
same as the above poster..
i do have some updates tho, i tested the link on my old PSP and it turns out that half of my problems were caused by a wireless card that didn't really work very well, i found an old netgear USB adapter and tried it on my old psp and everything worked fine, but still no luck with my PSP slim. |

Lets hope the Xlink Team can at least tell us whether they can help us or not...
Maybe a new updated Xlink Kai program revision or a patch?
We can only wait... |

I have a PSP slim
My Mac Address starts with 00:1C:26
However it seems to work ok in Kai, and I had people enter my guild hall in MHF2
Dunno what the difference is |

what wifi card do you have? I'm starting to thinkt hat people can only see other wifi max users in MHF2. Anyone that is properly set up and not using that specific card sees an empty guild hall unless they encounter someone else w/ their same card...it's just a theory but it makes no sense how alot of people played other games and are properly configured but MHF2 has an empty hall. |

I am pissed. I finally went out of my lazy way to log in just to strengthen this problem's existance.
Seriously, I'm having the same exact problem. I googled it a million times. Is there no way to freakin fix this? I've tried getting into that arena for the last 2 weeks. Same kaiUI error and it likes to spam it so i have to alt+f4 my way out while holding down the enter key in hopes that it will stop.
I've repeated the xlink kai install process flawlessly twice and it didn't help a thing. Great emphasis on flawlessly. |

Current status for me:
For the "An invalid argument was encoutered" problem,
I had to reformat my computer and just install Xlink Kai program and its work well now.
Though I still cant get my PSP SLIM detected even though it seems the Xlinik Team is saying that my Mac Address has been added.
Has it? |

you had to go as far as to reformat your computer? that's way too difficult just to get a single program to work. I have way too many valuable hard-to-attain software on my comp and transfering it all is ridiculous and in my case, impossible. Seriously, is there any Other way to fix this issue with this kaiUI error? |

I have same issue!
FAT PSP has worked fine and my new SLIM PSP is just invisible to KAI.
00:1C:26:xx:xx:xx is my MAC range if this helps troubleshoot.
It works fine in regular ad hoc mode with my old PSP. Just not on KAI
I wait with "baited breath" for an update orsolution to this... the only reason I bought the thing was for MHF2 on KAI
OH - I use WIFI MAX on windows XP system...
Ashmaran --- he had same MAC address prefix - he says it is working...
WHAT is your set up Ashmaran? WIFI MAX? SOmething Else?
I notice sopme people with similar mac range with the problem, and other mac ranges...dont know if it matters.
Seems if Ashmaran has it working with same range as me that eliminates the mac issue. And since it is working with him it is telling me that the situation might lie in the wireless router or the PC operating system (since the PSP and KAI are the same?) we need more info!!!
Ha i noticesd he said he is new? DOes that mean he has newer KAI software? |

both 00197E as well as 001C26 are both supported. There seems to be some weird issue that is only affecting the slim PSP's despite us having their first six octets of their mac address supported.
As for the For the "An invalid argument was encountered" problem, I would guess you are using Wifi Max when that happens and are in the MHF2 arena. There is a current problem(If I recall correctly that is) with Wifi Max in the MHF2 arena due to the excessive game traffic in that arena. |
