Joining and hosting work the same way it may seem like you can't join but it just takes awhile sometimes. Generally what I do when I can host or join a game I shut down ZD completely shut off kai then open ZD but do not connect. Make sure the settings are correct ->
Then I open kai back up host a game connect to zd which causes kai to auto connect, wait till it says no partner found refresh zd, psp will disappear, then your ready to host or join, just hit either while your partner hits the corrisponding selection and both of you refresh zd until psp pops up then connect and your good to go! |

What's ZD? Planning on trying this online when I get it soon but the sticky manual confuses me. So basically, even with a wireless router, you can't play PSP online unless you have a seperate laptop handy with a wireless card in it and Xlink Kai downloaded onto that? Or the other option would be to buy a WiFi Max, plug it into your computer's USB port, and just let it wirelessly connect to your PSP from there? |

Although I wouldn't mind a melee match or two, I really want to do the co-op battles so badly. My characters are mostly 99, although I still have a couple 70-80s I haven't finished leveling yet. Send me a message if you see me on (or add KaelanBG to your contact list!) |

Basically in order to play this game or any other game online with psp you need, 1. An internet ready PC 2. Wifi Max 3. Kai, You can do it other ways like connecting directly through a router or with a wireless net card in your PC or laptop, but the easiest way is via Wifi Max. Saves you ALOT of trouble, this game specifically NEEDS either Wifi Max or PlanetX or w/e to use the co op or pvp so... |

Sweet this thread is already here.
I just recently hooked up xlink kai and I would like play some people. NO ONE is ever on PSP when I am on, so I may email some of you that have posted up emails. The information above this post is pretty useful; I'll post a link to this thread on gamefaqs so hopefully more people will play this game.
Sadly, I don't even know if I got it right! I have the "PSP Configured Successfully" and, according to another guy (who did not have his configured properly), I have ping. So....if i have it right, lets play! If not...well, I'll post up when i have it down. |

I got it to work now...all i needed to do was wire my laptop to the router with an actual wire, not through the WLAN that my psp needed. Lol every time i connected to my psp I had to lose my internet connection.
Post up or go on kai I will be there. Time to grind for more jp in the meantime.
Edit: feel free to add me if you want. I go on kai daily to see if anyone is playing. I'll add you too if you post up.
I went on last night with CapsuleJ. Lol that guy has a beastly setup. Play with him if you want to get some good items ;p

Hey guys,
I was on the neoseeker forum and heard about Xlink Kai, and really wanna play FFT on it, but I am totally useless with stuff like this. I was wandering if someone could explain step by step how to do it, and what is needed to do it.

For starters, there are plenty of guides stickied on the same page you found this thread (PSP Community); look through those to find out if you have the necessary hardware e.g. network adapter and/or router. If not then purchase WiFi Max and go through that guide. |

"Thursday night" is a vague concept for two or more ppl from different time zones. Where are you from? |

I'm on every night after 8PM (I get out of work at 7PM). I am from Texas, USA so it's GMT-6.
It'd be nice to co-op with some of you (I'm not saying PvP mainly because I'm pretty low lvl compared to most that have finished the game, only around 15-25).
