Sorry if this has already been covered someplace else or if this is in the wrong place.
My Xbox is running XBMC and it is networked directly to a desktop PC in the same room, which connects to my router wirelessly. The PC it is connected to is running the client, so I am sharing the wireless connection with the wired, I understand all of that already, I am an advanced computer user, and I understand networks, just to make it clear that that's not my problem.
I can get my Xbox to connect and I can search clans on the Xbox itself. But when I go over to the left side of the screen after selecting a clan to play Halo 2, when I hit play it says it can't find Halo 2 automatically and to hit the cancel button and to start it manually. I've started it manually and gone to system link but that doesn't work.
Am I just doing it wrong? Or is there some trick to getting Xlink Kai to find my games.
Thanks for reading.
EDIT: Also, I am attempting to run the game from my hard drive, is this an issue? |

does you XLink work if you don't use XBMC ? .. load the game on your xbox, go to system link, then load kai on the computer and navigate to an arena .. make sure you can play online ..
once you can do that go back to figuring out XBMC .. |
I have a feeling I haven't lurked enough...
My Xbox only has XBMC on it, I thought I had to use the client thing in XBMC to use Xlink Kai...
I have been looking a lot through the FAQs and forums and I keep finding myself more and more confused. |
