Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? Yes, 30000
Is your console being detected? Yes
Brief description of your network setup: 3 PC w/router & DSL modem
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? No, No, No
Operating System? XP SP2
Problem description? Last night I found out I can host games. Thanks for the help. I didn't realize it last night but the other guy I raced against was initially hosting. He then told me to creat a game and he saw it and joined. I thought nothing of it.
Today, there are 2 project gotham games going. When I do a search for game I get Sorry no games found. I created a game just for kicks and others began to join. It appears I can host games but not join.

EDIT*** I still can't post with the Help Request flag set. I switch to normal and it goes right through. I get a SQL error that referred to D:\contents or something like that. It won't let me post again so I can't copy and pate the exact message. I will post the message when I'm able to create a new post. |

Was it the same people who were joining your game that you were unable to connect to?
Not sure, but are there XBox Live updates that make things incompatible? |

Last night for sure it was. He kept trying to help see him then he suggested I host while he looks for me. Today I did not check, after I searched for games a few times I created one and waited less than a minute and noticed two people in the game. My PC is two floors above my XBOX so I have to keep running up and down the stairs while doing this.

I did update my dashboard once but since I'm running a mod chip, wouldn't that negate the original bios? The disc is a backup of the original <wink, wink/> |

I was referring to XBox Live update to PGR2 itself. I don't believe this game is region incompatible, but considering it was the same guys you were trying to play with, it rules this out.
From what you wrote, it seems as though you were able to join a game only once and haven't been able to do it since.
Rather peculiar. Have you tried this with a different game? |

Not exactly, I haven't joined a game yet. Just played in games I hosted. The other games I have with system link capabilities never have anyone in the rooms. <wink> I have some other games on order that I will test when they arrive </wink> |

I joined a game today so this problem is solved. I think the guys the other night was not hosting correctly or something because it worked fine today. I played 3 games that I did not host. |

OK awesome. I believe they were just not setting their status to 'Hosting', a common problem.. |
