Is your network reachable? YES
Are you using a port-forward? NO
Is your console being detected? NO
Brief description of your network setup: 2 NIC's in the same bridge, I don't use a firewall.
Operating System? WindowsXP Pro + SP2
Problem description? Xlink Kai reboots my pc, when xbox turned on, Xlink Kai crash if xbox is turned on first.

[KaiUserConfig]
kaiPort=0
kaiDeepPort=0
kaiAccept=LOCAL
kaiTimeout=NOUI
kaiNIC=0
kaiLaunch=BOTH
kaiHomebrew=OFF

Go to windows update and search for driver updates for your NIC. That should resolve your problem, if not report back.

I checked windows update before i posted this, there are no drivers for my nic. I also looked for drivers on the manufacturers homepage and they say that the most recent drivers is allready included in winxp.

That would suggest you have 'Autodetect and lock' in the Kai Configuration Tool. Try setting it to the actual NIC that will be detecting XBox traffic.

I changed to the actual NIC in the configuration. After doing this it does work, if the xbox is switched on first otherwise Kai will crash. Rolling Eyes

OK - a few people had had this, and I'm starting to smell a bug in Billy's MAC Bridge device..

Possible you could completely remove the bridge, then try it like that?

I tried to remove the whole bridge, that worked with Kai. But then i can't connect to my xbox via ftp. It doesn't get any ipadress (0.0.0.0) no DHCP.

Is your NIC selected in the Xlink Kai config tool?

The MAC Bridge in XP crashes Kai - fact..

Remove it if you want to use Kai..

A fix for this is in progress from the makers of psSDK - you will have it as soon as it is done.. sorry for the inconvenience.
