Is your network reachable? No
Are you using a port-forward? Yes
Is your console being detected? Yes
Brief description of your network setup: SpeedStream 5200 DSL Modem (has router type setup/DHCP), Netgear WGR614v4 wireless router, but PC and XBox are hardwired to the router.
Do you use a software firewall?Yes, XP's in SP2 What brand? Microsoft. Have you made any changes to it? Exceptions for Kai and port 30000 forwarded.
Operating System? WindowsXP Home + SP2
Problem description? I can join arenas and see other people's ping, but they cant see mine. I cant see any games under system link even in my friends hosted arena.

1. Turn PAT off. If it still doesn't work,
2. Check your port-forward on the speedstream. Make absolutely positively sure that it points to the IP address of the PC that runs Kai. Make sure it's 30000 UDP also. |

Form Input - Error
NAPT server IP address is not a valid host LAN address.
Thats what it says when i try to route it to a specific ip Address (192.168.0.x)
And the turning off PAT didnt seem to do anything. |

UPDATE: OK well, his Speedstream modem is rather frustrating It won't let him port-forward to a 192.168.0.x address (I was trying to forward 30000 UDP to the router, which the router would then forward to 192.168.0.2, his PC)..
No luck and he left before I could try anything else.. I didn't bother Googling for suggestions (although I tried to get the modem on to the same subnet as the router, but that's when his net connection died )..
He's gonna contact his ISP and do some searching.. |

i got it working. you were trying to forward it to 192.168.0.x, so i went into the router settings and checked what ip the modem was giving it. It was getting a 192.168.254.x IP. So i forwarded port 30000 to the router's DHCP assigned address, and finally it worked. Tested a game of halo this afternoon. Thanks for all the help guys. Wouldn't have been able to play without you. |
