Not enough African Americans in games

A few weeks ago someone from BlackLooks claimed that Resident Evil 5 is a racist game. The main character in the game (Chris Redfield) shoots a few black ‘zombies’ in one of the Resident Evil 5 trailers, and according to the writer this would lead to racism with youngsters.

Now Roberto Lovato, a writer of a political website called Alternet, claims that the whole Resident Evil serie contains racism. He refers to a mission in Grand Theft Auto Vice City where players have to kill Cubans. He also made a study that said that 56% of all human characters in games are white, only 22% are African American and on the bottom of the list are Latins with only 2%.

IMO: The whole lets shoot black people in RE5 and that it would lead to youngsters being racist, is the biggest load of bullsh i ever heard, if thats the case, I Want San Andreas off the shelves for black people shooting white people.

But what makes the RE5 Topic funny is the fact that its based in africa, hahha how can you not shoot african zombies in AFRICA.

telling someone they're black isn't racism in the least bit so that doesn't even make sense.

Oh and "stereotypically speaking" black and n****r are not the same. Its a disgusting racial epithet that caucasians came up with in order to demean and put down african americans....being black does not make you a "n****r".

I guess my thread can be miss interpreted. i wasnt saying the term black is the same asthe term N****r. I was being sarcastic saying some racists who are ignorant (which most of them are ) think that Black and N****r ARE the same term to refer to a person of african decent like they dont know the difference or dont care because, like you said, "to demean and put down african americans".
