Someone on the general help forum suggested that I post this here.
http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35597
Hello, my name is Daniel. I recently acquired an XBox and I decided to get it up and running on Xlink Kai. I cannot, however, get it to work.
My ISP is running at about 700 kbps(will be up at 3 mbps tomorrow)
Setup:
One DSL Router and one wireless router. Both are hard wired to the Mac.
I have taken an ethernet cable, connected one end to the Xbox and the other end to my wireless router in one of the four connectors that will provide wired connection to any other thing that is plugged in. It's basically a little wireless router with a built in hub. the router is used to provide a wireless signal to a PC in my room and to an iPod touch, nothing else.
I open "kaiengine" and log in. I select XBox, first person shooters, Halo 2, North America and there are usually three or four servers. I don't click on any of then because I don't know what that does. Then I turn on the Xbox and sign in to my Halo 2 profile. I select System link and no games show up.
I don;t know if it's the way I have set up the Xbox to the router or I'm opening the program and the Xbox in a wrong sequence. What can I do? Any help will be appreciated.
I am using Kaiengine version 7.4.18 on an iMac G5 running OS X 10.5.6
I have taken all the steps provided by the suggestions of the others. I hope one of you can help me. Thanks!

I'm not really familiar with XLink Kai and console gaming, but it sounds like something is being blocked. If you have DSL AND a Router, you have to daisy-chain the ports.
DSL modems act like routers. They'll block connections like a router if you don't open a port in them. What you could do is open a port to the IP address of your router. Then, open that port on the router to the IP address of your Mac (you'll need a static IP for this).
If that's too complicated, you could put your DSL modem in bridge mode so it'll act like a dumb modem (and not like a router). Then, you would only have to open the ports on the router. |

Yes, it's possible. |
