Both my inlaws contracted it last year and were hospitalized for months. Very nasty stuff. Glad you pulled through.

All seven, who have either recently returned from Mexico or have links with someone who has, are being kept at home while tests are being carried out. Hospital treatment has not been required.

Im sure i still have my S10 NBC Respirator from my army days. Laughing

Great! Some woman went to Texas/Mexico, cuaght the damn flu, then flew bk up here to Flint, MI and is now hospitalized for it. Word of advice, if you catch the flu, go the hospital there! Dont go home and let it spread more! Evil or Very Mad

My CIS teacher said, they might close schools in my area because over 100 students have symptoms or actually have it.

well, i think that this swine flu is not much worse than a normal flu...
you can die of every kind of flu!
and I also heard that someone who obviouosly has had the flu, got well soon...

Not every flu can lead to death. The guy/woman who had it wouldve recovered quickly if they got to a hospital quickly. Most of them in the world have treatment for the flu to stop out breaks

of course you do not die 100% when you caught a flu... it's just that there still is the possibility to.. when you are ill and have a flu and you dont stay warm or in bed, the flu will get worse and MIGHT lead to death...
well, when i would have caught a flu some time ago, i wouldnt have gone to hospital, just would have stayed at home...
but now, with the swine flu,... i might consider going there?!

It hasn't killed nearly as many people as the regular flu does every year. Mostly the really young and the really old. Still good here in Minnesota, I think there has been only 1 confirmed case. This gives me plenty of room to meet my quota of 1 swine flu joke per day.
