My main issue here is that I havn't set up Kai for my PSP yet because I know I won't be able to use the net at the same time. The way of resolving this is, I know, by connecting my router to my PC via LAN connection - which I have done, however I don't know how to change the connection settings to make my PC connect to the internet using the LAN rather than the wireless card.

Another thing (kind of like a bonus) is that I want to know if I would be able to play the PS3 online through the wireless card, as well as the PSP (preferably at the same time), or is that completely impossible?

My wireless USB that my PC connects to is a DWL-G122 (even though I want it to connect to the router{DKT-710}), My PS3 connects to the card also (works fine, no need to change) and I havn't even bothered setting up the PSP with the card because I know it will fluff up my current connection.

As an added note my router is wireless, it is just plugged in through a wired LAN connection. Can I please get some help on this? Because all I really need to know is how to set up a LAN connection to my computer using my wireless router (not that bothered about the PS3 thing).

I dont know how it works with PS3..
all i can help you is with the LAN Problem (i think) :
Are you using a "Straight Through" LAN Cable to connect to the router?
if you do, it actually should connect automatically...
or maybe you have done everything right you just didnt check / didnt know where to check if youre connected LAN to the internet?!

It goes like this -

Phone (downstairs) ->
Phoneline (upstairs) -> ASDL -> DSL port on router
Router->LAN->PC
Router-> Mains (plug socet)

PC->USB->Wireless Card

When I unplug the card the computer doesn't connect to the internet anymore because it connects to the wireless signal. And no, I don't know where to check to use LAN internet.

on the right lower side by the clock, there is the globe with those 2 computers.. click it, then go to network- and sharing center!
there it should say that you are connected with your LAN Cable to the internet...
if it does not, well then make sure you use a straight through cable...
this is what it should look like:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/i/100001-200000/120001-130000/127001-128000/127838.jpg
if you look right "into" it...
post your results/problems...

Blamenck: take a look at this guide http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5649

You will notice in the second pic down that he has a local area connection (wired) for his internet, and a separate wireless connection for the psp to Kai.

That said, when entering the custom settings for ip config in the wireless network, the pc recognizes it as an adhoc connection.

While you are running Kai, the pc will determine that your wired (Local Area Connection) is to be used for internet.

Just make sure the 2 have separate static ip's.

Hope this helps.

it sets up a static ip on your network card, so that the portforward can remain in place.
