Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? No
Is your console being detected? No
Brief description of your network setup: Dl-614+ wireless D-link router hardwired to computer, xbox is using an ethernet network adapter(live works fine)
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? I don't use a firewall.
Operating System? WindowsXP Pro + SP2
Problem description? My console is not detected by kai
[KaiUserConfig]
kaiPort=0
kaiDeepPort=0
kaiAccept=ALL
kaiTimeout=NOUI
kaiNIC=0
kaiLaunch=BOTH
kaiHomebrew=OFF
kaiPAT=OFF
kaiAutoLogin=ON
kaiAllowBadNICS=ON
kaiWireless=
kaiUI=Default
I can't get my console to be detected, I can ftp into my xbox fine from the same computer, and the kai friends feature of XBMC works if I try it (note:I know the current XBMC doesn't work im not trying to use kai through XBMC), whats wrong?? |

Check your XBox's MAC address - what is it?
Sometimes, messing with EEPROM, or using debug bios stuff etc. can screw up your xbox's MAC address..
If you can find it out, and paste it in here, I'll check it out..

Try selecting the Ethernet adapter directly instead of 'Autodetect and lock' in the Kai Config. Tool. |

after clicking on the wireless button in kai config, I noticed it said the mac address and whatnot. I remebered seeing the same thing in evox so i wrote down the number that evox gave me in settings and typed it in kaiconfig. And like magic my console is detected! I haven't actually played a game yet but i've used kai before when I used two NIC cards on my computer so I think it should work, and thanks for the replies. |

I'm setting to problem solved.
Few things
- Make sure someone's hosting.
- Make sure you have the correct region of the game (especially if it's Halo)
- If you have Live updates for a game, or someone else who's hosting has them, you will often have problems |
