Disconnecting when joining

Hi!

Ive got a problem with connecting to other server. When i try to connect, in a few seconds a window appears that you have been disconnected, or something like that. I have a default vista firewall, ive allowed 30000 and 3074 udp port also. What could be the problem?

does the error message tell you something about portforwarding? or that your network is unreachable??

nope, ive done the port forwarding before, and now i can see the players and servers in xlink. but cannot join them

try turning off your vista firewall completely.

However, this does sound like a portforwarding issue to me... you might wanna check that you did everything correctly.

If you want a step by step guide give me your router's brand and model number

i tried to turn off the vista firewall, but its the same. I have a Dlink di-524.
Ive read the guides but its a bit confused me. The point is, that now ive allowed the 30000 udp port and denied the 3074udp. This is the closest position can i get ( working kai, and i can see the server). Some of the member told me that the xbox360 has a 30 ping limit, so if the host has example 32ping, than the box automaticly disconnects meg. Is that true? Ive tried to join a server that has 29-33ping, in the same country.

to be honest, the 360 really doesn't work on Kai. we generalize it to be 30ms ping limit, but some games could have a larger or smaller limit.

You're looking for under 15ms for a guaranteed success with the 360.
