hi there, Wink
Is there going to be any any Kai version for PPC?
Let's say that I want to use Kai on my PS3 running YDL to play Monster Hunter
That will push the PS3 to the next level Cool
Anybody has any info about it?

Cheers.

this is what you do, run the engine on your pc, connect to the IP:PORT NUMBER on your ps3's web browser, and you can control it from there so you don't have to go to your pc, but still everything on the pc has to be correct and working before you try to use your ps3 to control it

He wants to use the PS3's built in wifi for the psp.

You might be able to get the older linux version of the kai engine working, 'kaid', I'm pretty sure there's a PPC version of it.

Thanks for the info CrunchBite. And maybe you know where I can get it too? Obviously I can do a search for myself, it's just for saving a bit of time Wink

And what I want to do too is not only use the wifi built into the PS3 but to use a WiFi Max -wich I have- I'll deal myself with drivers and configurations I just wanted to know if there is a version of Kai for Linux PPC and where can I get it.

Again thanks for the help. I'll let you know how it works out Smile If it works... Shocked

Hello there Smile

It has been a while since I tried to do anything with Kai on My PS3 with linux.

I downloaded the file that is on the official Kai site, but I just get a .zip file with a single file in it that doesn't works -it doesn't have any extension and I don't have any idea of what it could be-

any suggestions?

That file is the actual program

to start it you would generally type:

sudo ./kaid_file_name

Hello,
It has been a while since I connected my PS3 to the internet! Almost 2 months!

Well, I tried again using kai in linux (YDL) using the kaid static and dynamic libraries and I installed them following the instructions that I found in http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27489 BUT when I try to run the engine using my regular username or even as root, all I get is a "permission denied" notice.

Any ideas?
