Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a router? wireless Netgear
Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? (??)
Did you forward port 30000 to the static IP? (i followed the guide and set up how it was shown)
Did you click the globe after forwarding to see if your network goes reachable? Yes
What console are you using? PSP
Is your console being detected? Yes, on my Usb wireless adapter, but once its detected and connected, my internet disconnects
Brief description of your network setup: laptop wireless network > internet // GW-USMINI2N to PSP
Model numbers of the router, and modem? Wireless NetGear don't know model number
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? NOPE
Operating System? Windows XP / Vista (trying both)
Problem description?
i got the GW-USmini2N yesterday, and i've been trying to connect to x-link kai with my psp. i followed the guide, and i still can't get it to work.
if i'm using laptop with wireless connection to the internet, i'm able to get on kai, however, when i try to connect to my psp, my internet will disconnect, and i will get disconnected from kai and all of my internet
what do i need to do to have my internet online, and connect to my psp at the time??
if i'm not mistaking, i should be using my wireless card to connect to internet for x-link, and the USB to connect my PSP to the computer on ADHOC mode. but i seem to be unable to have them both connected at the same time.
please help!! |

well on my laptop it connects automatically to both at the same time = /
1. connect to the internet
2. plug in the planex stick
3. turn on your psp , go into ad-hoc mode
4. open the planex utility
5. connect to the psp ...

I'm having this problem too. What's happening is that both your wireless utilities are overriding each other. Whenever I try to connect to my PSP with my Planex my wireless card jumps to the planex as well. Same if I try to connect my wireless card to my normal network.
The planex one seems to take control completely. It seems a pretty poorly written piece of software. |

i fixed my problem, are you using XP or Vista?
try uninstalling the driver, then reinstall it again, but when you reinstall it, don't install the Planex Ultility, just use the windows one.
restart right after you install the driver....
and when you're connecting your PSP to your computer, make sure you're clicking on "WIRELESS CONNECTION 2" (which should be your USB wifi).
make sure you're using wireless connect(1) to connect to internet, and Wireless connection(2) to your PSP u should be fine.
then you connect your PSP to your comp first, make sure its sync'd then you turn on Kai.
mine is working fine now, just get D/C sometimes when i join 4 people games, seems to be connection at my house tho. |
