Super Smash Bro and Phantasy Star

Hi im new to this and before i pop out some money for my router i want to know if you can play Super Smash Brothers Melee and Phantasy Star Online Ep I and II through this cause those would be the only ones i would really play. ok thx

Simple way to test whether a game works with this.

Could you play it over a LAN using a broadband adaptor?

If no, then it doesn't work with this.
