Use MacBook Pro WLAN device?

Hello,
I search for XLink for Mac and found it here. But now I have a question:

Do I need an external wlan device or can i use the wlan device build in in my macbook pro?

I connect via cable to the internet, because this the wlan device isnt used.

That... sounds wonderful. But unless someone were to write a program specifically using your built in wlan device, I don't think you can trick the existing applications into using it.

If you were to make it, I could offer massive amounts of kudos. But you're most likely out of luck for the time being.

Of course, now it just makes me feel sad that a month old thread was at the top of the Mac forum. There aren't many of us, are there?
