Thought this might be an important thing to pass on.

As long as XLink is still around. I'm sure this little piece of news isn't really much to worry about unless your worry about your rank in a play list going bye bye

I'm surprised at how long it lasted after the Xbox 360 came out.

Yea. It is a bit funny that ps2 online is lasting longer, when it is a free service and people had to pay 50 bucks a year for xbox live.

are they just discontinuing the service for the old xbox and keeping the servers up for the older games?

if not that makes backwards computability almost pointless

Just to clarify; All xbox live functionality in original xbox games, no matter what console you play it on, will stop working.

Ads and New News. That's all I've seen Microsoft do besides take your money through DLC.

Even with alot of people promoting both programs on the xbox.com forum aswell as other places, people are too stupid and/or lary to even try them.

Unfortunately I think he is on to something. I did my duty. After this announcement whenever I came across a thread or article about this I would inform them of xlink. Then people would comment directly under me bitching about how they could never play any xbox games online again ever....

I've been doing all I can to get the Steel Battalion: Line of Contact community over to Kai. Since the controller ONLY works on Xbox1 and we paid so much for them, It'd be a waist to stop now...

So far we have about 15 people, but that is just USA based.

I hope the Japanese get into it as well... There are ALOT of them who still play Smile

Side note, anyone interested in plying LoC, follow this link:

It's a "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink" situation.

Even after being informed of the tunneling programs people still go on with "(Insert game) is now dead!" or "There won't enough people to sustain the community of (insert game)"
Sure there might not be 100+ people that own a certain game on each tunneling program but you can find atleast a few.
