Is your network reachable? no
Are you using a port-forward? no
Is your console being detected? no
Brief description of your network setup:xbox hooked to ethernet port on cable modem, pc connected to usb on cable modem.
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? no
Operating System? xp pro
Problem description? xbox not detected cant play online
COPY AND PASTE CONTENTS OF kaiUserConfig.txt HERE
cant right now will update this at a later moment not at friends house right now |

That's cool, but one thing. AFAIK, modems that have a USB and Ethernet port means that only one of the 2 interfaces is used. Correct me if I'm wrong someone, but that's what I've been used to and led to believe. |

also a side note, xbc works fine when both pc and xbox are connected to the modem. (trying to convence friend that xlink is better) i also thought the same thing, only one would work at a time. |

Problem solved.
i went over to my friends house and mess with it for a few hours and what i did was just keep switching between the nics listed in the config app, back and forward untill it started to work. weird huh!? took for ever to start working but it did.
