I tried to follow M1k3_NL post on how to set this up, but I couldn't reproduce his DNS error. My computer running kai has a static ip, and so does my ps3, but when I turn on the ps3 it just signs into the PSN and presents no error. Turning off auto-sign in doesn't help.

My network is reachable, my card is locked... I just can't get my ps3 to show up as configured.

Also, the game I'm using is call of duty 4.

Any ideas?

I have a same trouble.

Just communication between Xlink and PS3 is not available.

And I found my PS3 MACaddress is not defined on Xlink.
I bought my console at Feb 2008 from Japan, the network controler shows below MAC address seems not to be avaialble on Xlink to identify the console.

My MAC address is started from
00:19:C5:73.....
This is same on both wireless and with Cable.

When did you buy the console and what is the MACaddress?

Sorry for that , but i don't have a Playstation 3 anymore .
I switched to Xbox 360 back , because the online part is mutch better .

What i can say , is that my PS3 was configured to automatic ( networking ) .

My friend and I have the same problem with the newer PS3s.

I own a 60GB PlayStation 3 with mac address beginning with 00:19:c5:3d... and it connects just fine with Xlink Kai.
I hook up a newer 80GB PlayStation 3 with a mac address beginning with 00:1f:a7:c7... to the same home network (only thing changed was the PS3) and it is not seen by Xlink Kai.

It would be nice to update the mac address search list.
