Console Not Detected

Is your network reachable?
Yes!

Are you using a port-forward?
No, but I don't need to if it's network reachable, right? If so, do I foward a port to the laptop or UI computer?

Is your console being detected?
No.

Brief description of your network setup:
internet -> wireless router which is hooked up directly to a computer running the engine. There's a laptop across teh house running the UI (I could run it on the XBox, I suppose, it's modded). The laptop is connected to the XBox via Netgear EN104 hub. I can FTP to the xbox and everything, it's just not getting detected via Kai.

Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it?
No

Operating System?
XP (nonSP2 yet) on the laptop, 98SE on the PC.

Problem description?
Console isn't detected. Network seems to work fine. I pointed config directly at the card I know is hooked up to the xbox, no luck. Is it the HUB? Do I need crossover? If I get it, will this work?

Okay first thing, can you wire the computer that has the Kaiengine running on it, and just leave the UI on the wireless computer and see if that fixes your problem
