I'm no stranger to XLink Kai, although I've never "used" it, due to my internet being bad and/or I don't play a lot online.
But recently I'm tryign to run Xlink Kai on my Mac, to play some games with an old friend.
I can run the program, it even connects to the web and logs in, and even shows people online, but if I open a GUI (JKaiUI) it randomly disconnects from the Kai engine and in the info panel it says under Netowrk "Joinable: Not Yet".
My gear is:
1x XBox 360 Elite (can't use on Live)
1x MacBookPro (OS X Leopard - 10.5.8)
1x O2 Wireless Box II
And several network cables (including 1 crossed)
I also have a XBox 360 Wireless Addapter, but I don't use it, so my console can't try to connect to Live at all.
The setup I've tried thus far is connecting my console to my Mac via a network cable, then my Mac to the internet via my wireless.
XBox 360 ->ethernet cable>- MacBookPro ->wireless>- O2 Wireless Box -> Internet
But I don't think XLink is seeing my XBox or connecting properly to the server.
I'm kind of forced into this setup based on the location of the router.
So, suggesting I connect everything via cables isn't an option.
I also have a second, very old, Netgear DG834g router I don't use.
So I am going to try to connect my console and Mac via that, rather than directly.
But I'm more concerned about the Kai engine not connecting properly.
If anyone can help me, especially with a "step-by-step" guide, I'd be very thankful.
Thanks. |

Thanks for the reply, but you're missing the main point of this section; "Mac".
A ".MSI" file can't be installed on Mac.
And I don't want to use virtual machines or even BootCamp.
I want an all native Mac solution. |

Unfortunately, my Mac is out of action for a while, but as soon as it's bac up and running I'll try it out. |
