This is a plug-in created for CFW PSP users (using the Adhoc to USB plug-in or a wireless USB adapter) to play some SSID swapping games like FF Dissidia or Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
Check it out on my forums if you need it.
Download & Tutorial
**Link broken, taken from the original text:**
Download the Kai Aid plug-in here: http://www.mediafire.com/?mi7fgx6nws2h7h2
How to set up Xlink Aid Plugin.
1.) Unpack the archive
2.) We need only these files
3.) Make a USB connection to your computer
4.) Open the seplugins folder and put the files (xlinkaid.prx, xlinkaiduser.prx, autojoin.txt) in the folder
5.) Open the game.txt file...
6.) and write this: ms0:/seplugins/xlinkaid.prx 1
7.) Save the game.txt file
8.) Congratulations, you did it!
How to use autojoin:
A few games like God Eater change the SSID (Wlan name)and we can't play online because the joiner's PSP is searching for hoster in local area.
But we can fix it with autojoin.txt .
First we need the SSID from the hoster (Game launcher), ask him and if he says PSP_AULJS00237_L_fe7dffaf then you need only the text after _L_ => fe7dffaf .
If he doesnt know what you mean, then ask him for his MAC Adress (PSP: Settings -> System Settings -> System Information)
If his MAC Adress is 00:11:22:33:44:55 for example, then we need only the last 8 digits. => 22334455
Set up autojoin.txt
1.) Open autojoin.txt
2.) Write the SSID digits after _L_ ... like fe7dffaf or 22334455 (MAX. 16 SSID's, without _L_ )
3.) Save it.
UPDATE: Sometimes, if someone sends a invitation card to a player and the player rejects, then you might not be able to see him/her anymore(not forever, until you do the method again.)
Credits go to Coldbird, Zonkaholix & Ewan08 (Ewan08 only for informing about the plugin, he didn't assist while creating the plugin).
P.S. Please post results.
This plugin developed by myself and betatested by me and Zonkaholix, allows WiFi device users (untested on USB) to change most multi-ssid games into single-ssid ones.
Greetings, Coldbird. |

Phantasy Star uses a random timeseed for Autojoin.txt Generation.
Thus : no.
But it works great for Metal Gear Solid, God Eater and a lot of other games.
As I only coded and tested this on REAL wifi hardware I don't know whether this works with USB properly, or at all.
Sadly it IS a big aid for WiFi Users as this pretty much makes the follow ssid option useless. |

You know how this actually helps? Because I never had to enable it nor I know someone who had to in order to play dynamic ssid games. It just creates a bunch of glitches like the "Kai disables my SSIDs utility" from my experience.
Well, on Windows it is, at least. |

It saves you those stupid SSID switching tricks... Cause you wont have more than ONE ssid. |

Good question.
No one can say if it does or not before having tried it.

No need for that as for me, it's already auto on Xp.
Your plugin can't help Dissidia as it's only played by two people in a row unlike God Eater and Peace walker: you would've to enter the mac address of each person you want to play with which is too much a hassle. Better swapping on your own in this case. |

I just back traced (reference here) the whole Yugioh's thread and found out this old Dreknot's post which pretty much explains why this game doesn't work with Kai.
http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=211669#211669
So it's all about finding the proper SSID, which is based on the hoster's mac address to I believe, to enter and typing it into the .txt. Can't figure any reason not to have this to work. |

You still can't play KH BBS, Phantasy Star and Yugioh TF5 with it as you know. Coldbird never made this plugin in the sight that it would be in par with Adhoctousb while it actually helped it out of luck for Dissidia quite ironically.
By "untested on usb", he just meant he didn't want to provide any support for Adhoctousb since his plugin was made for adapter's users at first, especially the ones who use Linux. |

Link's broken. Bumping for help? Do want to play God Eater, but we're getting random disconnections when joining the lobby after we SSID swap. |

I didn't steal it LOL. I didn't know that it already existed on the Kai forums.
But yeah, I took the guide without asking Coldbird, don't know why XD.
But I'll ask in the future |

I know LOL, I just find amusing that you put up the guide despite it already existed which was useless in the first place before turning out to be useful while CN was put on a drip.
Here is one for Dissidia btw since it's rather different to use Xlinkaid with it compared to other games: http://www.dissidiaforums.com/showpost.php?p=221601&postcount=150 |
