Cannot see gameservers and not sure if mine can be seen

Ok, so my ps3s MAC address is showing up in the xlink gui, and its blue, no name or icon though, my network is "reachable" and my network card is "locked". I also get a dns error on my ps3, with dhcp enabled, if that makes a difference. As i said i cannot see gameservers and am not sure if mine can be seen. So what am i doing wrong?

This is my network setup.
Modem (bridged mode) -> router ->Pc running xlink (ethernet not wireless)
Modem (bridged mode) -> router ->Ps3 (ethernet not wireless)

Ive been trying BLUR (LAN of course), not working, there are currently 7 players there according to xlink.

Help please.

EDIT
After giving up on my ps3 i thought i would try my psp. Xlink said in di there was network activity, so i think it was working.
So now my question is, was i unable to join a server simply because there wasn't one up? Or maybe whomever was hosting had or didn't have an update that i did? No servers showed up, so i doubt this one, in my opinion i would be able to see them, but not join, not sure if this is correct.

EDIT AGAIN
I tried "F1 2010" recently, same setup, except i tried changing the port to 0, so i could use upnp, this made my ps3s mac red in xlink. and didnt work. After changing my port back to 30000, it went blue again, but i was still unable to see or have my server seen.

Sometime this week i will try with another ps3, but i doubt it will make a difference. Can someone please help me...
