Unfortunately I cannot do the standard set up of Router > WIFI > PC > ETHERNET > PS3, as i don't have a wireless router.
I have an old wired router with a laptop and ps3 both connected via Ethernet cables. And tried using the XLink software. It detected my ps3 and said it was configured correctly, but i still couldn't get online!
I have read that it is not possible to create an Ad-hoc connection for ur ps3 to run off. Is that true?
Is there anyway other way to use the XLink software to play LAN games?
