According to your Kai Config you haven't configured any specific port in the utility. Open up the Kai Configuration Utility and enter whatever port you are forwarding on your router where it says Kai Port. Leave Deep Port at 0.

Also you should probably change the Auto Detect and Lock setting for the network card and select the specific card that the Xbox can be reached with.

Unfortunately I don't know your router very well so I can't offer specific advice, but be sure you have forwarded a port using the UDP protocol to the IP address of your computer that runs Kai. We often suggest 30000 but any port that is not being used should be fine.

Once you've checked these things give it a shot and report your results here. Best of luck.

Maybe nobody was hosting at the time? There a few issues with Halo 2 that we hope to erase with a small update being released shortly. Sometiems to fix the problem, going into another arena, then coming back to the main Halo 2 arena can 'refresh' all the servers and show them on your TV.

Yes I've experienced that same problem. When sitting in an arena for a while, Halo 2 games may or may not appear properly. If you go back one level and then back into the Halo 2 arena they will show back up. After a short while, those that are hosting games without setting their hosting status in Kai will start to not show up anymore.

It's a feature of the program to prevent flooding your network with traffic from everyone in the same arena. Unfortunately, not everyone has figured out the hosting status thing. We've changed the next version to help push people in the right direction though.

What ports did you forward? And how do you have it set up in the XLink Kai Config?

According to your Kai Config you have forwarded port 8602? Which IP address did you forward this to? It should be forwarded to the IP of your computer that runs Kai, just to be sure.

In the diagnostics within Kai (the magnifying glass icon) what does it say after Network Reachable?

im not sure as it's hard to decypher what you are trying to say but

sounds like it's working to me

If you see a game and can join it your good to go. Timeout's are usually caused due to poor internet connection and having problems getting ALL the games to show up would be an issue too.

Halo 2 is still a bandwith hog but not compaired to halo 1 Wink

Could you please list the rest of the Help Request? It seems to be missing from the first post.

If network reachable = yes then your router settings are fine.

You never filled out a complete help request form though. Can you finish it off please? Cheers.

If you have two NICs you should have two settings for NICs in the XLink Kai config. Have you tried to connect with both of them selected at different times?

Network Interface Card i.e. NIC aka Ethernet card.

You say you have two. The Xbox connects to the PC and the PC to the router. That means you have two no?
