Can you please give some detail on your network? Are you using a router? 2 network cards and no router? Is anything wireless or is it all wired?
We need a bit of this info to give you any real help.
At first glance I see you might need to configure a port forward. You can look on www.portforward.com for your specific router, if you even use one. If you do, be sure and enter the same port that you forward in the Kai Configuration Utility
If none of this helps please provide some more info and we can go from there. |

His network is reachable -> no need for port forwarding.
When you say Windows gives you an error, what kind of error? Have you tried putting 'Autodetect and lock' as the Network Adapter in the Kai Config. Tool, instead of choosing the specific card - which you have seem to have done.
Also tick 'Allow Dangerous NICs' too. |

ok got an update, the error seems to only happen when i start to look for a game. i booted up kai just fine a few times and i only got the error when i started to go into the system link menu and had the searching for games option on the game i was attempting to play. the error reads like this:
Xlink Kai Evolution 7 Engine has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. |

OK. Go to windowsupdate.com and check for network card updates. Second, in the Kai Config. Tool, make sure you've selected the network card that the XBox is connected to. See how you go. |

ok, well i got it so it won't freeze, well at least once anyway. i actually played a game of Halo 2. I do have another question. In the previous versions of Kai that i used it would radomly just crash and I could never fix it. I did it this time too I was wondering if this is a known bug or what? Thanks for all your help I really appreciate it. |
