OK...
Turn PAT off in the Kai Configuration Tool. That *should* do it. Also, seems as though you've deleted the '0' from 'Kai Port'. Put it back (I doubt it's making a difference, but just do it anyway). |

In your Xlink Kai config tool, do you have your Network card selected, or does it say auto detect and lock? |

Change the auto detect, to your Network card and see if it gets you up and running. Since you have 2 NICs you should try both and see what happens. Let us know, |

So does Kai see the Xbox? And it says the network is reachable? |

What games were you trying to play? If it's Halo, you can only play Aus PAL owners of Halo. If it was another game, there could also be XBox Live updates that you have that render you incompatible with non-patched Kai users. |

Just so you know Funk in the future, kaiNIC = 0 means Autodetect and Lock, kaiNIC = 1 is Autodetect and don't lock and kaiNIC = 2, 3, 4 or whatever, is someone who's specifically selected the network card in the list. |

Hey good looking out raf. I guess if I would have read the help request section I would have known that. Oh well, so back to the problem. I had a similar problem yesterday with Technow where he had a Rainbow Six 3 Black Arrow case, but the game was the original Rs3. Once he changed the game and went into the right room, everything worked. So I guess the best thing now would be to get some one on one help and see if we can find the problem. |

First if I can make a suggestion - if you truly are running with a direct connection to the internet with no router and no firewall, you're asking for trouble. I don't recommend anyone in the world run completely unprotected with their computer on the internet. If you have the ability I strongly suggest at least getting yourself a cheap DLink DI604 (or similar priced) router for $20 (US) to help protect you at least a little bit from the various threats on the internet. Even the cheapest of routers with NAT technology built in will do the trick.
There's a complete walkthrough for connecting to Kai with 2 NICs in Windows XP at www.packetme.tk - it's probably the best walkthrough for your setup out there. Give it a read, follow the directions and report back. |
